Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Anime Passport (animepassport.vercel.app, the "Service"), operated by Hien Khang Nguyen. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Anime Passport is a discovery platform and personal tracker for real-world anime events in Europe (conventions, concerts and cinema releases). We aggregate event information and let you log attendance and collect digital stamps. The Service is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Event information & third-party links

Event details are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, out of date, or submitted by other users. We do not organise, sell tickets for, or guarantee any event. Bookings, ticket purchases and travel arrangements are made with third-party providers under their own terms; we are not a party to those transactions. We do not currently use affiliate links and earn no commission from outbound links; if this changes in future we will disclose it, and it would never affect the price you pay.

4. User contributions

If you submit events or other content, you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content within the Service. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, or spam. We may review, edit or remove submissions at our discretion, in particular to comply with applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
• Do not scrape or harvest data except as expressly permitted.
• Do not harass other users or post unlawful content.

6. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service available but provide it "as is" without any guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damages arising from injury to life, body or health, and for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect mandatory liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
